So it's been a while since you've heard from us, yes? We've been busy enjoying summer with our rapidly growing children, sending our "babies" to Kindergarten, adjusting to new jobs, new commitments, and re-acclimating to the school rat race. Life has been stretching and growing us all over the place.
We've also been growing and evolving in our thoughts about food and this "little old blog." Now that we've adjusted to our new normals, we hope to give this space of ours a little more attention. Look for some revamping/freshening up, inspirational thoughts, and hopefully a few more recipes. You will also notice that while we still strongly believe in the power and importance of plant foods (veggies, fruits, seeds, nuts, legumes...), we will also be posting recipes that include lean protein (chicken breast, fish, eggs..) from time to time. In an ideal world (=ample grocery budget), local and organic are best, but this is real life and food is expensive. We each just have to make the best choices we can for our families, with what we've got.
